Who we are, and what we doYoung at Heart is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to saving the lives of senior pets. Young at Heart mainly rescues senior pets from open-door shelters, reducing the euthanasia rate for adoptable senior pets at area shelters.
Our Mission
Young at Heart's mission is to provide senior dogs and cats with a safe haven to ensure they live with comfort, compassion, and companionship in their golden years. We save the lives of homeless senior dogs and cats from situations where their age puts them first in line to be euthanized. We find loving homes for adoptable senior pets and offer a peaceful sanctuary life for those that are less adoptable.

Care and Comfort in One Location
Our cageless adoption center is designed to look and feel like a home, while housing senior pets in safe and sanitary conditions. With the in-house vet clinic right across the parking lot from the adoption center, our senior pets can be seen "on-demand" and get the medical care and comfort they need immediately.
