When I first arrived at Young at Heart, I was scared of everything. Every touch hurt, every new face felt like a threat, and my body ached with cancer, arthritis, heartworm, and more. I didn’t know what it felt like to be safe.

Then I came to my Sanctuary Home with Jen and Erik. Here, I’m surrounded by calm hands, warm beds, and other senior friends. I dance when they come home, share kisses, and enjoy every safe, happy, spoiled day. I’m learning that even a scared, tired heart can trust again, and that love can make every moment brighter.
