Hi there, I’m LaLa, a 16-year-old senior rescue cat living my best life thanks to Young at Heart’s Sanctuary Program. My journey began in 2017 after my beloved person passed away. With no one left to care for me and my three feline housemates, we were taken to a crowded city animal shelter. I spent over a month there, unsure of what would happen next. Thankfully, Young at Heart stepped in and gave me a second chance at life.

Today, I’m thriving in a loving senior cat Sanctuary Home where I receive daily care for my heart murmur and chronic digestive issues. My caregivers are gentle and patient, and they understand that sometimes I still need my space. Because of the generosity of Sanctuary sponsors and supporters, I have access to lifelong veterinary care, a safe home, and all the love I could ever want. I may be a senior cat, but thanks to my rescue family, I’m enjoying my golden years in comfort and peace.
