Ernie

I’m Ernie! I’m a 14-year-old Chihuahua who was rescued by Young at Heart in July 2023. When I first arrived, I wasn’t feeling so great. I didn’t want to eat and needed lots of medical attention and monitoring. It took time, patience, and a whole lot of love, but thanks to the amazing care from Young at Heart, I slowly began to turn a corner.

Now I’m part of the Sanctuary Program, which means I get all the vet care I need for the rest of my life, while living in a compassionate and patient Sanctuary Home. My family understands me completely and gives me the gentle care I need to feel safe and loved every single day. Life may have started out a little bumpy, but now it’s filled with soft beds, kind hearts, and all the time I need to just be me.
