Joey

Hi there! I’m Joey, a senior chihuahua who was rescued by Young at Heart in November 2021 alongside my best friend, Chandler. We were a bonded pair, and like many duos, we had a harder time finding a home – especially because of my heart condition, which made some people nervous.

That is, until our Sanctuary Mom, Monica, came to meet us. Of course, “Friends” like us needed a Monica in our lives.

Chandler passed away in 2026 at 16-years-old, and I miss him dearly, but I’m so grateful we got to spend our golden years together, safe and loved in our Sanctuary home. I’m still being spoiled silly, with Young at Heart continuing to support my cardiology care so I can stay right where I belong. I enjoy walkies, car rides, cozy jammies, and all the love I could ask for. Life is still pretty great for a little ol’ chihuahua like me.
