Life Just Got Betta for Chedda (Cheese)

20 years old. That’s how old her surrender paperwork says she is. When the shelter reached out to us about this little elderly min pin mix that ended up in their care when her guardian could no longer care for her, we knew there was only one way her story was going to end… Welcome to Young at Heart, Chedda Cheese!

This old girl has a funny little penguin walk from no longer being able to bend her knees easily, she has one whole tooth in her mouth that is so incredibly gross that it doesn’t even look like a tooth anymore, and her one little ear is crumpled from an old infection or injury. But it is also obvious that she was once very loved as she is a happy little girl. And now we focus on making sure the next chapter of her life is full of love and happiness.

Chedda happily took her rescue ride out of the shelter, peed in the freshly cut grass as soon as her little paws hit the ground here at Young at Heart, and did a little mosey around the yard smelling all the new smells. She easily settled into her cushy bed for a little snooze after a little snack of canned chicken. She’s oh so sweet, and still has a lot of pep in her stiff little step!

This sweet little girl will get everything she needs here and more so that she is safe, comfortable, and so very loved in her golden years. We’re looking forward to getting to know her so that we can find her the perfect home to spoil her silly in her old age. We’re so glad you’re here, Chedda Cheese!
