Rudder

Breed: Pittie
Age: 8-10

Rudder is a sweet older boy who’s in a tough spot — the open-access shelter he is in in southern Illinois is closing and he needs a home (or rescue) as soon as possible. Life’s been hard on him — he’s heartworm-positive, hearing-impaired, and vision-impaired — but he doesn’t know there’s anything wrong with him!

Rudder loves people, is very gentle, and has no issues with strangers. He is fantastic and playful with new dogs — he may try to mount other dogs, but he is respectful of correction or avoidance. He is uninterested in cats and is unknown with children.

Please consider giving this loving boy his freedom ride, out of the shelter and into your heart!

Transport could possibly be provided. Rudder is not yet neutered, but per Illinois law, he will be before he goes to his new home.

For more information about Rudder, please fill out an adoption application at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hssi1&method=online_form_html&formid=45 or contact the shelter at 618-457-2362.
