Emma

Emma is a gentle 13-14-year-old Labrador/Husky mix who recently lost the person she loved most when her owner passed away in May. Since then, our family has been doing everything we can to care for her while searching for the loving retirement home she deserves.

Emma is truly an easy girl. She doesn’t need long hikes or endless games of fetch. She’s happiest soaking up affection, stretching out on her favorite fluffy blanket, enjoying time in the backyard, and simply being near the people she loves.

Because of her age, Emma’s back legs aren’t what they used to be, and stairs have become difficult for her. A single-story home or one with minimal steps would be ideal so she can stay comfortable.

We haven’t had the opportunity to see how she interacts with children, so we can’t say for certain whether she’d be the right fit for a family with young kids.

Emma isn’t looking for forever in the traditional sense—she’s simply looking for someone willing to give her comfort, kindness, and love for whatever time she has left. Senior dogs have a way of giving back far more than they ask for.
