Meet Buster

• Approximately 16 years old
• Neutered male
• Located in Libertyville, IL
• In good health for his age (last vet visit approximately one year ago at Ruth Helen Wolf Animal Hospital)
• Sweet, affectionate, and very cuddly – he’s truly a lap cat
• Loves being close to people and does well with calm, gentle children (especially adores my 7-year-old daughter)
• Tolerant of well-behaved dogs
• Needs to be the only cat – other cats cause him significant stress

Why I’m Rehoming Him
I took Buster in three years ago after a close friend was injured and could no longer care for him. He’s been an incredibly loyal and loving companion. However, due to frequent travel for work, I can no longer be the steady presence he needs. When Buster feels lonely or anxious, he sometimes defecates outside the litter box—a behavior that improves when he feels secure and loved.

The Ideal Home
Buster would thrive in a quiet, stable home with someone who is home most of the time. He’s not suited for a chaotic or busy environment, but would do wonderfully with a calm individual or family who can offer routine, affection, and a peaceful setting. He has so much love left to give.

I’ve contacted local shelters, but none are able to take him due to his age. I am absolutely not considering euthanasia—Buster still has a lot of life and love in him. I am committed to finding the right match and am available to answer any questions.
