The animals we rescue come from situations where they are in danger of being euthanized because of their age. Young at Heart's mission is to provide senior dogs and cats with a safe haven to ensure they live with comfort, compassion, and companionship in their golden years.

Cat Adoption Fee: $100
Dog Adoption Fee: $200
Adopters age 65 or older receive a 50% discount on adoption fees.

We carefully match our senior pets with homes that fit their needs and lifestyle. Multiple applications may be considered for the same pet, as adoptions are not first-come, first-served. Pets are never placed on hold.

How to Adopt

Young at Heart is a cage-free facility. To help manage our pets’ stress levels, all meet-and-greets and adoptions are done by appointment only with an approved application. If you prefer a masked adoption appointment, please just let us know. Your comfort is important to us!

Fill Out An Application

Submit an application online. The review process can take 3-5 business days and may take longer during holidays.

Schedule Meet & Greet

Once your application is approved, we'll work with you to schedule an appointment to meet the pet(s) you are interested in.

Take Home Your Pet

If your meeting goes well and all parties agree it’s a good match, you’re ready to welcome your new family member home!

That's why our new Club Grand Paw™ program is so important. This program for senior adopters age 75 and older has special features such as personalized animal care assistance and Club Grand Paw™ team support for those adopters who may need it.
